About the Event

Girls Thive Network offers mindfulness and mentoring activites for girls on San Juan Island. In March, with an abondance of caution, we paused our activities with the hopes, of a speedy return to normal. 2020 has been anything, but normal.

Many of us in the SJI community and beyond have voiced, a feeling of being set adrift in all of the chaos and uncertainty we are currently presented with. We hear you, and would like to offer this simple grounding excersize as chance to see one another and participate in our interconecctedness.

Tuesday, September 22 at noon, we will be creating a Temporary Beach Mandala of Flowers, Driftwood and Stones on the Eastside Flats near the old peir. At noon, we will open our circle with a simple grounding ceramony, if you feel called to share a thought, feeling, wish or intention you are welcome to do so. if you simple wish to add a silent intention and place you contribution into the layout of the mandala that is ok too. Don't worry! There are no expectations on how the mandala turns out. You will know where your sticks and flowers will fit into the bigger picture. We hope to leave the mandal there for the folloowing week so you can revisit and the final outcome.

Thank You for your participation and if you wish to find out more about Girls Thrive Network and how you can support future activities go to www.girlsthrive.net

Best Wishes,

Kara
